In major international fashion week show floor, all eyes will be drawn from the Italian fashion writer Angelo Flaccavento to attract. He was a fine suit and bow tie, with a bearded, retro frame and straw hat, as if coming out from Proust to taste great classical elegant gentleman.
GQ: Your interest in fashion when to begin?
Ever since I can remember, I can use it for the story "apparel" fascinated by magic. When I grew up watching my father put on a suit vest and tie, and then choose a perfect day bag of towels to match his coat when wearing the West, opened my endless inspiration imagination. And I've got a lot of books on art, my first love is the baroque era portraiture, I can spend hours watching intently Velasquez paintings men and women wore gorgeous delicate clothing, or Rosalba Carriera Pastel works lightweight silk and whitewash hairstyle. I've always worn clothing for myself very picky and specialization. In high school, the students gave me the nickname Oscar, derived from the most classic Dandy representatives - playwright Oscar Wilde.
GQ: So you grew up is a love dressing up and love fashion people?
Because the family has relatives in the high fashion industry, so in the growth process, in addition to art and culture, I have also been a lot of fashion magazines and surrounded by beautiful clothes. I was a kid fat, so no friends, but not the same as other children like sports, so I spend a lot of time in their own fantasy imagination. I can not say I come from a background of very stylish, but it is a very dignified family, courtesy and respect are our most important two things at home. I grew up being taught to go and must bring their best side to see manifested, this refers always to hold the dignity of the individual, it is also more important than wearing fashion. In fact, my grandfather was a typical Sicilian Dandy, a perfect suit with Fedora hat, holding a cigar, conversations full of wisdom and humor, a lot of people say that I looked like him.
GQ: What is your personal outfit a source of inspiration?
Real life with books, films and dreams created by the imagination of life, are my greatest source of inspiration. Stage costume designer Piero Tosi works constantly surprise me. Artist David Hockney and
Francesco Clemente bring my visual pleasure. Naples and Palermo older men in my mind effortlessly elegant virility symbol. Le Corbusier and Giò Ponti is not only the most likely to wear clothes, but also a great architect. Directed by Chris Marker's "La Jetée" is a very fashionable style movies. I also like the painter El Greco's dramatic sense of childlike innocence and Paul Klee. If no layout constraints, in fact, I could go on and examples indefinitely.
GQ: You will be the first out the door every day think about what you wear today?
Not necessarily. Sometimes I need to rush out in five minutes, must immediately make a decision, so I developed a style of their own wearing a "uniform": the West coat + vest + pants suit, which is sure to have the basic equipment, then the other with the process will be very simple, in fact, need to deal with the less clothing elements, the better able we inspire you more with imagination.
GQ: You will have wearing the wrong clothes, "not fashion" when?
I am a "mistake" and live! I'm just a man, but the most important thing is to learn to keep humble. I often play on a different scale garment outfit, such as a narrow version of the West, I like the relaxed jacket with short pants, the result is good or bad? Also to continue to experiment and make mistakes through to know. Honestly, I actually prefer the process rather than trying the final result.
GQ: Where do you go to buy clothes? And your favorite designer or brand Why?
I usually like old and old antique shops, wherever you go, they will first go to the shop. For me, shopping is like treasure hunt, old full of amazing treasures. I bought the clothes will go through my tailor modifications, he is my favorite clothing brands.
GQ: three samples of your life absolutely essential fashion items?
West-fitting cropped tops, pen pocket and solid carved shoes.
GQ: personal taste and style can develop it?
I believe that personal style is innate, but the taste is via education, trial and error learning. The more you look shoping districts, the better will be your personal style. For me, a good book or a brilliant paintings are far more than any of a fashion show gives me inspiration.
GQ: For you, what is good taste and style?
I do not believe that "good taste" and I think this is the framework of today's culture of self-handicapping. Exaggerated and flashy nor anything bad, in fact, 'good taste' just means that strong criticism of the personal point of view. But "style" is the man said and done you a sign. You how to speak, write, walk, eat, or others, are your style performance. Of course, the dress is a style, but no matter how good-looking costumes could not hide rude behavior. I am convinced that moderation is all "style" of the most basic qualities.
